My Top Reading Plans for January 2022

It’s been a while since I posted anything on this blog, but I’m finally back with a new post for the new year. Hopefully this time I can get back into being more consistent. I’ve got some ideas that I think will help reinvigorate my passion for this blog.

For now, though, I thought I would start small and just make a simple TBR post. I’m trying to give myself a little more grace this year, so I don’t have any hard goals about the number of books I want to read this month, but I have a couple of things I’d like to get to if I can.

Let’s get into it! It’s a pretty short list:

Critical Role: Vox Machina—Kith & Kin by Marieke Nijkamp

Last year about halfway through the year, I discovered and rapidly fell in love with Critical Role, and I have now watched the entirety of Campaign 1, most of Campaign 2, and am doing my best to keep up to date on the weekly episodes of Campaign 3. So when I found out that there was going to be a book coming out set in the same universe, following a new story with old characters, I knew I had to jump on that.

In fact, I’ve already started reading it. I’m not very far in yet, but so far, so good.

Cytonic by Brandon Sanderson

You can tell I’ve been feeling slumpy because I haven’t yet read a Brandon Sanderson book that came out a month and a half ago at the time of this writing. Usually I pick up and read his books pretty much as soon as they’re out, but I haven’t even bought this one yet. Nevertheless, once I do get my hands on it, it’s one of my top priorities to read.

That’s really it. Like I said, I’m trying to go easy on myself and just read whatever I feel like reading at the moment, and right now, those are the two titles I am the most interested in getting in to.

That might change next week, who knows?

Anyway, let me know down below: what books are you planning on reading in January? Have you already read your first book this year? What did you think of it? I’d love to hear all your thoughts!
