Series Crackdown Update

Hey everyone! Today’s post is going to be a real quick one. Sorry for being MIA this past week or so—I’m starting a new job, school’s going to start soon, and I’ve been struggling with some things in my personal life. Basically, I’m dealing with a lot of stress right now and it’s been hard to find the motivation to write blog posts.

Here I am today, though, with an update on the readathon I’m currently participating in—the Series Crackdown Readathon.

I’m not doing as well as I had hoped (mostly due to all the other things I just talked about), but since the readathon started last Friday, I’ve completed two books and started two more. The books I’ve completed were Wildcard by Marie Lu, which I listened to on audiobook, and Caraval by Stephanie Garber, which I alternated between reading physically, reading the ebook, and listening to the audiobook.

I’ve got the rest of day and then Saturday and Sunday to complete at least one more book, maybe two if I’m lucky. The book I absolutely need to complete is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, since it counts for all of the prompts I have left to complete. The other book I’ve started, Windwitch by Susan Dennard, only counts for two of them.

If I’d been smart, I would have started reading Order of the Phoenix at the beginning of the week, since that’s the biggest book that was on my TBR for this readathon. But oh well, I ended up starting it yesterday and I’m on chapter four or something like that.

This week, I’ve really been struggling with reading books physically, and since that’s the only option I have for Order of the Phoenix, I don’t have high hopes. I’m going to do my best, though.

Anyway, that’s the update. I need to go get reading. I’ll see you in a few days with my readathon wrap-up (it’ll probably go up on Monday or Tuesday).

Thanks for reading, everyone! See you soon!

  1. First off, I hope things start looking up for you soon. :/ sorry it seems you’re a little stressed at the moment.

Also, it sounds like you’re doing such a great job during the readathon to me! I’m only halfway through my first read. But I hope you can get through at least Order of the Phoenix ! That book was a roller coaster. But it was so good(: Havr a good weekend ^-^

    1. Sorry it took me so long to respond, but I wanted to let you know that this comment really brightened my day. I have been pretty stressed recently, but I’m hoping I’ll adapt. It’ll just take a little time. Thank you so much for your comment! 🙂
