September 2019 Wrap-Up/Life Update

Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA, but since school started, I’ve just been going nonstop, and I don’t think it’s going to stop anytime soon. I’m trying to get into a routine where I can get everything done and still have time to do the things I want to do, like blog posts, and just writing for fun in general. Hopefully this month is the month where I master that, but so far I’ve been struggling a little.

But you probably don’t care about that. What you want to hear about is what I read this month.

Let me tell you: it’s not very impressive. This month, my goal was only to read 2 books, and guess what? I didn’t even manage that. This month, I only successfully completed one book, and it was a really tiny middle grade that I’d read before, so it wasn’t that impressive of a feat. It was The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan—which was actually on my TBR for the month, so at least I have that going for me.

I loved it, by the way—I mean, it was a reread, and the Percy Jackson series is one of my favorite book series ever, so that’s not exactly a surprise, but I thought I’d mention it anyway.

In spite of my failure this month, I’ve decided to doggedly continue with my goal of reading more than one book in a month, as you’ll see in my TBR tomorrow (assuming I get it up on time).

Anyway, sorry if this post is kind of a downer. Let me know down below what books you read this month? Did you love any of them? Hate them? I’d love to hear all about it!

Thanks for reading everyone, and I’ll (hopefully) see you tomorrow with my October TBR!

  1. Mir @TBRandBeyond

Percy Jackson is such a great series.
I’ve had months were I had less done then what I wanted to do. I think the key is not to stress too much about it.

  2. You did your best! Don’t worry! I read only 5 books this month and I felt like I could have done way better. I need to for my ambitious tbr next month

  3. I think I finished 3 books this month. I really liked two out of the three books I’ve read. Hopefully October will be a better month for both of us.
