Hey everyone! Today I’m bringing you my October TBR! There’s not very many books on it, but considering that last month I only read one book, I think it’s safe to say that this is a pretty ambitious TBR for me.
I’m hoping to read three books this month. I know, that’s one more than my goal was last month, and I couldn’t even meet that. What on earth makes me think I’ll be able to meet this one?
I kind of talked about this in my September wrap-up, but this month I’m really hoping to be able to get back on track with a lot of things in my life that have kind of gone off the rails since I got back to school (and, really, before that, too). One of those things is reading—but I’m trying to take baby steps, so I’m not going to give myself a TBR like the kind I would have given myself over the summer. Instead we’re going with three books—and even if I don’t end up reading the exact books I’ve chosen, I’m hoping that I’ll at least be able to reach that number.
Anyway, that’s enough rambling. What books am I actually hoping to read, you ask?
1: Enchantée by Gita Trelease
This is a book I’ve been wanting to read for a while, and a few months ago, I put it on a TBR and even started it—but in classic Ariel fashion, I never got around to finishing it. I still really want to read it, though, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to do that this month.
From what I understand, this is an alternate history version of the French Revolution where there’s magic, and our main character has to go to extreme lengths to try to make ends meet for her struggling family, which leads to her getting into some trouble. I’m sorry if that’s vague, but that’s all I can remember from the synopsis. I’m hoping I love it.
2: The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan
This one might kind of be cheating because even though I only read one book in its entirety last month, I did start this one last month, so I’m already part of the way through it. I’m hoping that means that I’ll be able to actually get through it.
This book is a reread for me, so I already know I’m going to love it. It’s the third book in Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series, which is kind of the series that started it all. Now he has a ton of books all revolving around the theme of various mythologies, and a few years ago, he even started his own imprint all about showcasing #OwnVoices narratives about various cultures and mythologies. I haven’t read any books from the Rick Riordan Presents imprint yet, but I do plan on doing that at some point.
3: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
This is another book I’ve started before, but never finished—I guess that’s a problem of mine. But, as some of you may know, one of my goals for this year was to read the entire Harry Potter series, because even though I’ve seen the movies many times, I’d never read the books, and I was tired of missing out on the hype. So far, the read has been going good, and I still think I might be able to finish the series before the end of the year.
Those are all the books I’m hoping to read this month! Let me know down below what you’re wanting to read this month! Is there any book you’re particularly excited about this month? I’d love to know!
Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you next time!

This looks like a really wonderful reading list! Hope you enjoy all the books you want to read this month~!
I hope so too!
Heart Rick Riordan! There are SO many of his books I need to read still! I want to reread the Harry Potter series – I barely remember the little details of the story, plus, I need to read the final installment! Happy reading!
Thanks! I hope you’re having a great reading month!
Hope you like Order of the Phoenix! It’s such a big book for what everyone seems to consider as middle grade.
I’m sure I’ll like it. I’m more concerned about finding the time to read it, honestly.
Some books there I haven’t read. I’m looking forward to Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
Ooh, I’ve heard a lot about that book! I hope you like it!
Good luck with all your reading this month! Looks like you’ve got some good pics!
Thanks! I’m going to do my best!
