Hey guys! Continuing with my goal of doing one readathon per month for the rest of 2018, here I am with yet another readathon TBR! I’ve done a few weeklong readathons so far, and they were pretty fun, but now I have decided to try my hand at an even shorter readathon: this one only lasts for one day.
I’m hoping that this will work out better for me than the last few weeklong readathons have. I do have to work for 6 ½ hours later today, so I won’t be able to read then, and I have to work tomorrow, so I will need to sleep at least a little bit. Even with all that, though, I will still have a good chunk of the day that I can dedicate to reading.
But what will I be reading during that chunk, you ask? Well, that’s exactly what this post is for!
I’m trying to be as realistic as possible, and realistically, I know that I will probably not be able to read more than one or maybe two books today. So, I am only including two books on this TBR, with an optional third in case, by some miracle, I manage to get through the other two.
I’m also sort of cheating because all three of these books are books that I have already technically started, but when I do the calculations at the end, I will only include the pages I actually read during the 24 hour stretch.
Anyway, let’s just get into the books I want to read.

Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake
This book will be my main focus, and the only one on this list that I absolutely want to read in its entirety today. As of the time that I am writing this (that’s about 11 hours ago for you guys—I wrote this ahead of time so I could focus all of my energy on reading as soon as I woke up in the morning), I am on page 22 of this book, and I am planning on reading some more of it after I finish writing and scheduling this post. I’ll let you guys know in my wrap-up what page I started on for the readathon.
Although this book will be my focus, I know that considering the super dark nature of this book, I might need or want to take breaks occasionally. That leads me to the next book on the list.
Arcanum Unbounded by Brandon Sanderson
I still have yet to read beyond the first novella in this collection, and if I can, I would like to read at least one or maybe two more over the course of the day. This book will mostly what I read when I have a shorter amount of time to read, or like I said, whenever I want a break from the intensity that is Two Dark Reigns. I don’t intend to finish this book, not by a long shot, but I would like to get at least a little farther into it.
The Girl Who Smiled Beads by Clemantine Wamariya and Elizabeth Weil
If I end up finishing Two Dark Reigns, this book is my next priority. I have less than 100 pages left in this book, so theoretically I should be able to knock it out pretty quickly, if I have time to get to it. If I don’t, finishing this book is at the very top of my list after the readathon is over. I would really like to be able to get to it during the readathon, though, just because I think the fact that I’m in a readathon will make me more motivated to actually read it.

Those are all the books that I hope to get to during Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon! There will be a wrap-up of the whole day going up sometime tomorrow, but in the meantime, if you’re interested in getting real-time updates, you can go follow me over on my Twitter. I’ll try to update every couple of hours or so, and maybe participate in some reading sprints, too!
Thanks for reading, guys! Go conquer that readathon TBR, and I’ll see you tomorrow!
