Top 3 Favorite Vacation Spots (Summer Biannual Bibliothon Day 1 Challenge)

Hey guys, welcome to day one of the Summer Biannual Bibliothon! It’s my first time ever participating in a readathon, so I’m a little nervous, but mostly excited. If you’re participating, I hope you’re meeting all your reading goals today, and I wish you luck with the rest of the readathon as well.

Today’s blogger host is Jackie over at Evil Queen Books, and the challenge she gave to write about is, as the title of this post suggests, our favorite vacation spots. Thanks to her for the prompt!

For this prompt, I’m working off the assumption that I have to pick vacation spots I have personally been to, and can therefore confirm are favorites. That means that some of my default picks (like France, Egypt, etc.) will not appear, since I haven’t actually been to them yet, though I really want to someday.

#1: Hawaii

This one is an obvious choice for me. I went to Hawaii for the first time with my parents last summer as a sort of combination birthday/graduation/parents’ anniversary present, and it was incredible. If I could, I would totally go again. It’s warm without being overbearingly hot, like some other places I could mention (*ahem* Texas). Everything’s green. The water’s beautiful. People say it’s like paradise, and they’re right. Someday in the future, once I get out of college and start making a sustainable amount of money, I definitely want to go again, maybe to a different island next time, since we went to Oahu last time.

#2: Canada

This may seem like a pretty radical difference from the last one, but I have family in Canada, so for most of my childhood, my parents and me would go up every summer for a couple of weeks and see my dad’s side of the family. I would stay with my cousin, either at her house or, later on, at the trailer park her family went to every summer. It was a nice break from the 100+ degree (Fahrenheit) weather we get during summers in Texas. I have so many fond memories of those vacations, from giving Webkinz named Alisha baths to going to Quebec and being unable to communicate with anyone. Ah, memories.

#3: Colorado

I’ve been to Colorado on a couple of occasions. Once, I went on a skiing trip for spring break, and the other was on a trip to tour a college I was considering going to. You may be noticing a theme here, but the scenery in Colorado is so beautiful. It’s all green, and the mountains are beautiful. I think someday, I might even want to live there. Even if I don’t, though, it’s definitely a fave for vacations.

Well, there you have it, friends: my top 3 vacation spots. I hope you’ve enjoyed, and thanks again to Jackie for today’s challenge.

Thanks for reading! I’ll see you tomorrow.
